MAT 283 - Calculus I4 credits (4 hrs Lecture)4 hrs/week for 15 weeksThis is the first course in a typical three-semester sequence covering the basic calculus of real variables. Calculus I introduces the concept of limits and applies that concept to the definitions of derivative and integral of a function. Derivatives and their applications are covered as well as integrals and their applications. The course will also include the differentiation and integration of transcendental functions.
