295 Defensive Tactics II

3 Hrs/Wk. (6 Hrs. Lecture) * 15 weeks.
This course builds upon the skills taught in Defensive Tactics I. Through lectures, demonstrations, role play, and practical scenarios, students will continue to develop their understanding of the legal aspects, and the physical application pertaining to use of force situations. Students will learn to safely apply and adapt their tactical response as appropriate for a variety of physical and environmental settings. This course will emphasize the importance and techniques of effective documentation following use of force encounters in police work. Prereq: CRJ 290
