For those of you who are planning to pursue a career in an Allied Health field, you are in the right place.  In this course you will be learning about many interesting and sophisticated aspects of the human body that will allow you to become an effective and knowledgeable practitioner in your chosen field.  Satisfactorily completing this course will take a lot of hard work and many hours.

On this website you will find learning tools in the form of chapter objectives and PowerPoint outlines.  You also have access to many learning tools on the website masteringaandp.com and the DVD that is in the back of your text book.  Tutoring is also available to you.  Learning how to learn Life Science material will be your first objective in the course.  Please come and talk to me if you need pointers on how to study this topic.  Here is a short vodcast on hints on how to study A&P, click here.

My sincere best wishes for your success in this course.

i>clicker Web Registration:

You are required to purchase an i>clicker remote for in-class participation.  i>clicker is a response system that allows you to respond to questions I pose during class, and you will be graded on the feedback and/or participation.  Each clicker has a unique serial number on the back of the remote.  Place a piece of scotch tape over the bar code and ID to preserve it.  In order to receive credit for your votes, you will need to register your i>clicker remote online by the second class meeting.  You must have come to class at least once and voted on at least one question in order to complete this registration properly.  You can register your clicker online even before coming to class, go to www.iclicker.com/registration .  Complete the fields with your first name, last name, student ID and remote ID.  Your student ID is your first name, middle initial, last name, all lower case, no spaces.  If your class schedule does not have your middle name or initial on it, do not use your middle initial in the student ID.  The remote ID is the series of numbers and sometimes letters found on the bottom of the back of your i>clicker remote.  The i>clicker response system will be used every day in class, and you are responsible for bringing your remote daily.

These directions start in K103, the lecture hall where we have class.  Exit Kirk Hall through the main entrance just outside K103 lecture hall on the right as you exit K103.  Take a left on the sidewalk and head towards the front door of Jalbert Hall.  Once inside Jalbert Hall, walk past the receptionist's desk and take a left towards the cafeteria.  Just before the stairs that go up into the cafeteria, take a right down the 400 wing.  You will see a set of stairs on your right, take those up to the second floor. Once you are on the second flood, head down the corridor until you reach the student lounge on your left.  You will see a set of offices towards the back of the lounge.  My office is towards the left of the hall way heading back into the office area, the number is J523.

If you need to schedule to make up an assessment, the sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board across from my office door.  More than one individual can sign up for the same time if you are just making up an exam and do not need to meet with me.
