ACE 235 Introduction to Highway Design 3 Credits (3 Lecture 0 Lab 0 Shop)
3 Hrs/Wk (3 Hrs. Lecture) *15 wks
An introduction to Highway Design using AASHTO Highway engineering standards to include geometric design, pavement design and roadside design. This course will also research alternative hgihway surfaces, hydrology, roundabouts, parking lot design and layout, highways and the environment, and highway construction and maintenance. The student will expand their use of CAD related software and methods of presentation to create industry standard documents. Prerequisites: ACE 262 and CAD 110
