ACC 248 Payroll Accounting3 Credits (3 Lecture 0 Lab 0 Shop)3 hrs/wk (3 Hrs. Lecture) *15 wksThis course is designed to introduce students to the concepts and processes of payroll administration. Topics include the legal issues surrounding payroll, salaries/wages and overtime, payroll withholdings and payroll taxes, and journalizing and analyzing payroll transactions. Students will also learn extensively about national automated payroll system providers such as ADP, PayChex and Ceridian.
