The Medical Assisting Club is a new club, formed in September 2014, for the following purposes:
a. To raise the professionalism of Medical Assistants by promoting and preparing students to sit for their national certification exams (Registered Medical Assistant ~ RMA).
b. To promote student networking opportunities including but not limited to: i. Orienting new MA students and transfer students ii. Book share/ book swap opportunities iii. Sharing job and externship information iv. Providing/organizing study groups for the RMA exam v. Social events just to get to know other MA’s on campus
c. Celebrate completion of Medical Assisting program with a pinning ceremony
d. Community Service; specifically looking for areas within health care or activities that promote good health
Membership (from our bylaws):
Membership in this organization is open to any person who is a student in good standing at CMCC, and who will uphold the policies of this organization and agree to its bylaws. Eligible persons shall become members by signing a membership form agreeing to follow the school rules, and promote the Medical Assisting Club and its many activities. Join Us!
