Description

This course provides students with the basic principles and practices of working with propane and natural gas to ensure safety and provide quality service. The CETP modules are designed to qualify students to sit for the State of Maine “Appliance Connection and Service Technician Licensure for Appliances up to 500,000 BTU’s”. The prerequisite for this course will be pre-hire or current employment in the Plumbing or HVAC field. Employers will be required to perform the skills assessment portion of CETP. The course includes 7 modules and 7 exams per student. The areas covered are as follows:
CETP 1.0 – Basic Principles and Practices of Propane
CETP 4.2 – Placing Vapor Distribution Systems and Appliances into Operation
CETP 4.3 – Installing Appliances and Interior Vapor Distribution Systems
CETP 4.4 – Basic Electricity for Propane Appliance Service
CETP 4.5 – Basic Propane Appliance Service and Troubleshooting
CETP 4.6 – Advanced Propane Appliance Service and Troubleshooting
