Description

This class will be offered online using Zoom for lectures. This course will focus on the student learning G and M codes for basic CNC milling programs. Examples of basic programming includes drilling, tapping, reaming, slot interpolation and simple contours. Other topics that will be covered include the cartesian coordinate system, calculating speeds and feeds and tooling. Students will be using simulation software to prove their programs. The simulation software will give the student an introduction to set-up and operating a CNC milling machine without any hands-on actual CNC machines.
