PHT 297 Externship
3 Credits (.5 Lecture, 0 Lab, 2.5 Shop)
8 Hrs/Wk (.5 Lecture, 7.5 Shop) * 15 Wks.
(Total hour commitment varies from 135 hrs to 280 hrs based on the nature of the project / experience. This number will be determined by Department Chair prior to course registration.)
The externship experience provides the student with an opportunity to explore career interests in plumbing and heating while applying knowledge and skills learned in the classroom to a work setting. Prerequisites: Department chair approval, PHT 207, PHT 209, and successful completion of OSHA 30-hour card.
