JUS 205 Multisystem Crisis Response 3 Credits (3 Lecture 0 Lab 0 Shop)3 Hrs/Wk (3 Hrs. Lecture) *15 wksThis course will introduce the student to best practice interventions in crisis theory, concepts, and strategies for social service-related occupations. Various systems and models of collaborative community interventions will be discussed. Special emphasis will be given to contemporary research in sociology, disaster psychology, and crisis management. Topics of discussion will include childhood development, anxiety, depression, PTSI and de-escalation. Prerequisite: CRJ 101 or PSY 101 or instructor permission.
