EDU 150 Pathways to Teacher Certification
(3 Lecture 0 Lab 0 Shop)
3 Hrs Wk (3 Hrs. Lecture) *15 wks
This course will prepare students in the education program seeking certification in Pre-K through 12 schools. Students create a Maine Educator Information System (MEIS) account, obtain a background check, and complete required fingerprints to prepare for entry into the field. Students will gain practical experience in a Pre-K through 12 classroom through job shadowing while reflecting on professional teaching standards. Students will develop a professional portfolio.
